The Indian Ocean
When we were in Perth, we got a chance to see the Indian Ocean. This is the first time in my life to witness the real big ocean...nothing like our Straits of Melacca. You can see the ocean wave splashing towards the beach...and surfers there trying to catch that perfect wave.

Willow Springs Orchard
Ah...it's Monday again. I'm infected by Monday blues virus as usual. Worst thing is I woke up with sore throat this morning. I guess I'll have flu soon. Anyway, my fingers are itchy to type out the post during working hours. :)
Before my trip to Australia, one of my colleague reminded me to take more photos on persimmons. She specially requested for close up photos for persimmons on the tree. So my friend, here are the photos that I promised.
We went to Willow Springs Orchard the day before we flew back. It's situated quite far away in Bedfordale. The farm is operated by a couple. The persimmons are grown in their farm, and packed in their small factory beside the farm. The persimmons are loaded to the conveyor and packed according to their size. The price ranging from A$18 to A$24 per box, if not mistaken. Each box consists of 20 pieces. I tell you it's worth the price. It tastes so good. It's crunchy and juicy. The fruit quality is much more better than those imported persimmons from Korea or China. Theoretically, the environment, the air, the weather, the soil and the water may be the main factors that enhance the quality of grown. I guess, due to dry environment, the tree stores the all the precious essence in their fruits. That's why the fruits taste so yummy!
Hope you like the photos.

Swan River
One afternoon, we stopped by the Swan River for a walk. The residents built their houses by the river side. Most of the families owned a cruise. Sailing about from place to place, fishing, diving, swimming and picnic by the river side are some of their pass time activities. Occasionally, you'll find them walking by river side with their pet dog(s)....
The water is clear. The sky is blue and the air is fresh. This is the life that most of us dream of.

Marapana Wildlife World
We had lots of fun in Marapana Wildlife World.
Unlike normal zoo/safari, the wildlife world is a place for people to get in "touch" with beautiful Australian animals. It cost A$16 per person, and you get a bucket of dry food to feed these creatures.
I love those animals...and we got a chance to stay really up close to them . I enjoyed feeding them and touching them. :)

Gilberg's Fresh Market @ Southlands Boulevarde

Last Friday morning when we arrived Perth, auntie (sister in law's mother) drove us to Southlands Boulevarde Shopping Centre. One of brother in law's computer shop is located inside the mall. Once we completed shopping at Coles, we dropped by the Gilberg's Fresh Market just to look around.

I couldn't stop myself from snapping some photos on those fresh vegetables. See the capsicums? They are very fresh and colorful.

Here, you can find different species of onions and potatoes.

The celery is tall and plump. It's totally different from what we have in Malaysia, which I call it baby celery or malnutritioned celery. I can imagine how juicy the celery is. It's definitely one of my favorite ingredient to make detoxification juice. :)

We can hardly see such fresh tomatoes in neither wet market nor hypermarket in Malaysia. Agree?

Fresh flower are sold in Gilberg's Fresh Market too.

Japanese Village, Bukit Tinggi
Japanese Village, Bukit Tinggi is located 3,500 feet above the sea level. It is claimed to be the first Japanese village outside of Japan. Residing in the village are the Japanese Tea House, Botanical Garden, Ryo Zan Tei Restaurant, Souvenir Shop, Tatami Spa as well as the Ume Tatami Suite.
A picturesque Japanese footpath will lead you through a beautiful garden to a waterfall, over a bridge spanning a koi pond and up to a Japanese Tea House. You'll experience the "Gateway to Nature". A cobbled pathway leads your way through a nature trail of a collection of native and introduced plants.
The Japanese Tea House was constructed with quality woods; the interior od the room, lattice materials, stones, paper doors, surfaces textures, including the ornaments used in the design. Demonstration of the traditional Japanese Tea ceremony and kimono rental is also made available for you. Every detail you see captures the spirit of Japanese craftsmanship.
You will get a chance to enjoy a wide variety of Japanese cuisine in the midst of a tropical rainforest if you wish to dine in Ryo Zan Tei Japanese Restaurant. And if you wish to experience the Japanese culture for longer than a day, Ume Tatami Suite is exclusively for you. Besides, Tatami Spa is another attraction. They offer various pampering treatments from massage to body wrapping and foot reflexology. Revitalizing indulgence for body, mind and soul!

Colmar Tropicale

While we were on the way to Colmar Tropicale, it was like we were traveling in the arms of nature. It really make ones relaxed. The sky was clear and the air was refreshing. We were totally enjoyed the beauty of nature. Green scenery greeted our eyes all along the way up to the hill.

This is the first building we saw. It's still work in progress palace-like building.

Here we come, Colmar Tropicale, the France Village located at Bukit Tinggi, which is surrounded by lush tropical forest land. It's a French-themed resort inspired by the original Colmar Village in Alsace, France. You will definately fall in love with the artful-designed buildings. It consists of a collection of buildings from a northeastern village in France dating back to the 16th Century.

Here's the clock tower. You can either climb up to the top by steps or by lift.

Rabbit Park @ Bukit Tinggi
The Rabbit Park is one of the places of interest at Bukit Tinggi. Entrance fee is RM6 per person. Here, what you can see is big fat rabbits. It made me think of the cute & naughty rabbits that I blogged earlier in My Little Cottage.
You can touch the rabbits here. They won't hop away. They will stay there and let you touch them. I enjoyed touching their soft fur. Let's see the photo shots of those rabbits.

This is the first rabbit that we saw. Initially it was quite playful. It kept hopping for a while, and then stay quietly enjoying people touching it.

This brown rabbit looks a bit lazy.

This one must be thirsty, it's drinking some water.

And this one licking its fur like a cat. Cute ler... ;P

These 2 little puppies were woke up by us from their sweet dreams. They are in the area of the cages keeping those baby rabbits.
Besides rabbit, you can also take a donkey ride at Rabbit Park. But, I will not want to try coz the donkeys are quite dirty and smelly.

See the pity look of the donkey. It came to us when we went near the pen.

There's also a group of deers beside the donkey pen.

See, this deer is posing for us to take its photo. So clever!

One Night Stay At Colmar Tropicale

Hey! We are back from a short break at Bukit Tinggi. We enjoyed the trip very much. The stay at Colmar Tropicale was really relaxing. Initially we booked a value package for superior room with breakfast, dinner, and all the entrance ticket included. But when we got there, the superior room was fully occupied, so they upgrade our room to 1 bedroom suite.
Colmar Tropicale is a French-themed resort modelled over the Colmar Village in Alsace, France. It retains the authenicity of the French architecture.

Here's the building of the suite that we stayed in.

Its name, Fuchsia.

The bedroom with balcony.

The bathroom.

The living room.

The dining room.

The kitchen.

And the nice view from the balcony.
