A Memorable Night With Him

Last Thursday was my dear's birthday. We spent a memorable night together. Usually I don't give him any birthday present, but this year I surprised him with a precious gift. It's not a romantic thingy, but a more useful thing for his daily life. :)

In addition, instead of dining out for birthday dinner as usual, I made him a home cooked dinner. I baked a meat crust pizza for him for the first time, and I'm glad he loved it very much. He said the pizza is so much tastier than the dough pizza. :) Yes, success on the first attempt! I was worrying so much that I might not able to bake a nice pizza. I'm so glad that eventually it turned out to be so great. He finished up 3/4 of the pizza, haha......It's kind of a pleasure to see your other half gobbled up the meal that you prepared with love.

Dear, I hope you enjoyed the night together.

N82 Dead & Alive

My N82 Nokia phone is about 1.5 years old. Few months back the battery started giving problem, it only last about 1 day after a full charge. So I replaced it with a new one. Unfortunately, the new battery did not extend its life. In fact, it died. I mean, totally no breathing...totally blank. So I just leave it in the book shelf, and got myself a new phone.

After so many months, I've almost forgot about it. Surprisingly, hubby "IM" me and told me he managed to save the phone and now it's back to normal. He tried to rescue the phone using several methods. He tried to connect the phone to the computer through USB cable and update the software. Unfortunately, it did not work, as the the computer can't detect the hand phone. Seriously, my phone was totally cannot on, how can the computer detect anything? After several failed attempts, finally hubby got an idea. He then tried hard reset + update software at the same time. In this way, he able to force the phone initiate for 1~2 second, just enough time for the computer to register the phone and proceed to update the software. So, the software update was successful, and my phone come back to life again!

Honestly, I like N82 more than my current N79. Most importantly, its camera perform better. Want to see the difference?

This photo is taken using N82. It's clear and sharp.

And this is from N79. With the exactly same setting, the photo came out a bit blur. Disappointing?

Thanks to hubby to safe my lovely Nokia N82. Some of my food blog photos will still rely on it. Welcome back!

Forgetful Him & Me

This Nokia USB cable was the culprit that caused us to search for high and low. I need the cable to download some photos for my Nokia N82. Sigh...

I told hubby that I put the cable on the study room's table, but he failed to find it. Then I searched in my office's drawer, still couldn't manage to find it. So frustrated! I told hubby that it must be him who cleaned the table and misplaced the cable, but he denied. He searched among the free gifts, but the cable was not there. He argued that it must be me who left the cable in the office and someone steal it. So, again, I felt angry and warned him better get me a new one. I know, my hot temper is my flaw, but still I can't control myself from getting angry when I'm in trouble. My blood maintained at the boiling point. Arghhhh........

Last night, I gave myself the very last chance to figure out where the cable is. You know what? I used less that 3 minutes to find it out from the bunch of free gifts! Of course he kept quiet la, and I continued to bla bla bla.......Everytime ask you to find something sure cannot find one la, bla bla bla.......

Cherish A Memory

Since I was a teenager, I dreamed for my future ideal wedding. :) I think most of young chicks also imagine the same thing in their mind at times. Don't you?

I prefer classic and elegant wedding gown. I had the one similar to the photo above. Simple cutting, simple design, and simply white in color.

We had the most traditional and formal wedding, but it was a memorable wedding. Lots of friends and relatives presented in my wedding. Lots of closed "sisters" formed a team to "played" my hubby and his "brothers". Luckily he got lots of support from his "brothers". They got to pass through all the "games" before hubby managed to meet his bride.

Marriage is a serious commitment. We believed that we were ready at the moment we entered it, and confirmed we able to work for our relationship.

I'm glad I married him. :)

Happy Birthday Dear!

Happy birthday, my dear! I wish you enjoy the dinner this evening. :)

By the way, my dear is reading the operating instructions on how to use his birthday present. Hehe, guess what I bought for him. Teng teng teng teng......

Yes, a pair of digital cordless phone with caller ID. One represents him and another one represents me. So sweet ler... I chose Panasonic brand as I believe it's more reliable. I have confidence in Panasonic products. How about you? Well, few months ago, this model cost for over 300 ringgit, but now the price drops to just RM199. Phew...luckily we didn't buy it that time. :)

There's a reason behind why I gave him the caller ID phone. Lately, my dear complained that he receives too many annoying phones calls that affect his concentration. Oh yes, he works from home. So, I got him this product in order to prevent unnecessary disturbances. :P

Well, the caller ID has not been activated yet. It'll take for roughly 3 days for TM to activate the service. I have no idea why they need so long just to reset the interchange. Can they speed up a little bit? Sigh......

How's Your Life?

So far, have you examine your life from various aspects? Where are you now in terms of family, career, financial, health and well being, recreation, personal, friendship, community, house hold, and spiritual?

What is the most important to you? Where your efforts are currently directed? How does this compare with your ranking of what’s most important?

In general, my life is going very well. I'm quite happy with who I am, where I am, and what I'm doing. Sometimes, even if I get a bit off course, I usually able to get back on track easily. May be it's because I'm born with "positive" psychology called optimistic.

Compared to hubby, his personality is more towards a very slight of melancholy. However, both of us make a very good partnership. Each of us learns gradually how to understand and appreciate the other. I'm dominant, and charismatic, and often has a short fuse. He is studious and quiet, possessed of more versatility than me. Although we are completely different, we make a wonderful team since each of us learns to accept the other's unfamiliar style. I believe it's the key to success moving forward.

Our aim is to live a simple and contented life.

New Fashion

Before & After

Hmm...If you are wondering whether Blogger launch any new templates, then you're wrong. Hubby designed and sewed new dress for this blog as well as our food blog.

Basically, I posted a request to my hubby, asked him to modify the blog template for me cuz it looks too general, and the header graphic was stolen from internet also. I know, it's not right. I emphasized that I want my blog to look "lady-like". So, hubby customized the template a little bit here and there to make it looks unique. A good learning curve for him to go through as a beginner. :)

Noticed the differences?

~First, he changed the color tones for header, content and background. Background color tone is darker compared to previous pink. This will make the blog content more focus, and indirectly ease eyes tiredness if your stare at the blog for too long.

~Secondly, he rounded up the template corner. His design concept: No sharp angles. He believes in Feng Shui factor.

~Thirdly, he designed a logo. Noticed the flower there? Yea, it's my logo. :)

~Fourthly, he changed the fonts color.

~Last but not the least, a line is added to separate the header and content. This will tidy up the outlook.

Thanks to my dear. I'm quite satisfied with the result. What do you think?

Luck & Choice

"Success" can have different meanings. It can be just a simple accomplishment of our desires or a big achievement in one's career.

Whatever the definitions, do you agree that success can only be achieved in 2 ways? That is Luck and Choice.

Success through "Luck" means that someone succeed without any planning or efforts towards it. Somebody may get a job offer without any interview, but the salary offer is impressive and the working hour is flexible. :P Yes, there is an actual case. Believe me.

Succcess achieved through "Choice" means that the individual has a clear vision and goal and truly put an effort and discipline to achieve it. For example, one may made up his mind to set up own business. He/she sets up goals, time line, and pays effort working step by step to overcome all the unexpected obstacles.

Dear, you have the "Luck" & you've made the "Choice". Success or not, it'll depend on your determination, and "never die" spirit. I'm here to support you.....

Be a shopping queen again...

:) Hehe, guess what? I went for shopping whole night long. I complaint to my dear that I have nothing to wear, and I pester him to bring me shopping last night. I know I'm very naughty. :P

Shopping on weekdays is more relax, cuz most of the shopping malls are not crowded, and fitting rooms are mostly empty. No need to struggle for fitting room or clothes. So, I grabbed as much as clothes I can to try one by one, looking at myself in the mirror before I decided to buy any of them. I spend for about 3 hours trying about 30 pieces of clothes, haha, must be crazy over the fashion. Pity my dear, he just sitting on the couch, playing his iPhone, and look after my handbag while I was busy trying all those my selected items. Anyway, he didn't complaint. See, how nice he is... :D

Compared to my last shopping, I would say last night's shopping was another experience, which is more enjoyable and relax. Thanks to my dear for paying the bills for me. Muak!

Love you, my dear!

Last midnight it started raining till now. This morning I came to work before 7am in order to avoid long queue on the road. My dear purposely woke up from his sweet dream, just to open up the gate for me. I just need to hop into my car without wet up myself in the heavy rain. :D I feel so warm in my heart.

Dear, although you seldom express the 3 magic words to me, however, all those small tiny things that you do for me proves everything. It shows how much you care for me. Needless to say, the care is sincerely deep from your heart. I sense your love, the warm and fuzzy feeling.

Love you, my dear!

Take Things For Granted

After reading the above conversation between my dear and I, what do you think? You have an answer in your mind already? No? Come on, get one!

My thought is:
Most of us didn't realise that we used to take things for granted! Agree? Like my dear, he pretends there's nothing happened even though he realized I did something for him. I know he is happy on that but still, he resist to say " thank you, my dear!". I purposely reminded him, and lead him to say something. That's why the above conversation came in.

Why do we feel so difficult to convey our thankful to our loved ones? Are they supposed to help us to get things done? Why are we pretending nothing happened, even though deep inside our hearts, we are so grateful?

Our Wish

This morning I was a bit emotional when I was on my way to work. Suddenly I was thinking of my lost baby. I dropped my tears and the intention of wanting to adopt a baby girl is now back in my mind. This is not the first time I have the idea. I brought up this topic to my dear after 2 years marriage when I still failed to conceive. However, I dropped the idea when I found out I was pregnant last year. Coz, it proves that my husband and I are fertile to have our own child.

I discussed this subject with my dear again after we lost our baby. Basically he keeps an open mind on this. Both of us are still young and we should keep ourselves working hard to "manufacture" our own child instead of rushing to get an adopted baby. Well, for me, I think it's no harm to start trying getting more information on adoption. At the same time, I'm getting help to hunt for leads on adoption as well, since adoption process is pretty complicated and it normally takes years for a sussessful adoption.

Well, wish me luck to get pregnant soon, or to successfully adopt a baby in the near future. Hubby and I will keep these two options open. We pray to God to bless us with children...

Be A Shopping Queen

Last Thursday was a public holiday. My dear brought me to shop at Queensbay Mall. Jusco is one of my favorite spot to shop for clothes. A lot of varieties like casual wear, office wear, maternity wear, teenager wear, bras, undies and even lingerie.

Most ladies like me, love shopping. I was having a great hair day. Not only because I can shop, but a free shopping trip sponsored by my dear. I didn't even need to pay a single cent or to carry a single thing. Fuyoh! So nice to be a shopping queen! A kiss to my dear, muah!

Ok, so let's see how fruitful the shopping was. Hmm...I bought 3 body fit shirts, 3 skirts, undies, and a lingerie (in order to thank my dear, hehe...) Emm...well, quite satisfied.

Thank you, my dear!

Hubby's Silly Mistakes (II)

Since my last posting on "Hubby's Silly Mistakes", yesterday again, my dear bought the wrong veggie. He bought a packet of snap peas (similar to "Holland peas") instead of French beans. He gave me nonsense excuse. He said Holland and French is just nearby mah. Oh, my goodness!

Here, again, would like to show him the photos for both veggies. Dear, they look different, right?

Thank you...

The first two weeks after the incident were really tiresome and terrible. I'm better now. I have been trying hard to put down the burden that I've been carrying for the past few months. I have been keep on worrying since the first day I got to know I was pregnant. I don't know why, but that kind of feeling was hiding inside me.

Time heals. I must not keep going thinking about it, and depress myself for too long. I have to let it goes, and think positively.

Here, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to my hubby, who supported and comforted me along the journey. He took care of me during my most difficult moment. His care and love meant a lot to me. Thank you, my dear. Thanks for your consideration. I love you!

Dear, sorry...

Dear, I teased you last night for not helping you to pack your luggage. I even passed you the radio taxi's phone number for you to call a cab to the airport. This is the first time I behave so so so badly.

It's not that I don't care about you. It just that I want you to give me a hug, telling me that you need me...

In the end, I still helped you out, after seeing you facing problem to fold up your shirts. You even search the net to find info on how to fold a shirt. Oh, pity you.....

I'm sorry, my dear...

I Miss You, My Dear

I just send my dear to the airport. Due to the direct flights are all fully booked, he will take off to Singapore and change a plane to Hong Kong instead. Hmm...he's on business trip again...I won't be able see him in another 5 days time...

Dear, I'm so lonely here. I miss you. Miss your annoying snoring, your body smell...I just wonder whether you realized that I hugged you secretly while you were having your good night sleep last night. I even took your photo without your knowledge. See...

Hahaha... :P

Hubby's Silly Mistakes

Currently, I'm on long medical leave due to some circumstances. Previously, hubby and I used to do shopping and marketing together, but now I have to pass over the job to him. What I need to do is just come out with a shopping/marketing checklist to ensure he buy all the neccessity. But guy is still guy. He is not familiar with the variety of vegetables. I can't set high expectation on him. Trust me, I have concrete evidence to support my statement.

Here are the silly mistakes that he made so far.
Mistakes 1: I asked him to buy lemon grass, but he came back with a bunch of spring onions.
Mistakes 2: My checklist stated as spring onions, but he bought me a bunch of leek insteed.

Spring onion
Vs lemon grass
Vs leek

So, I have to educate him how to recognise and differentiate each of them, and telling him:
1. Spring onion is to use as garnishing for Koay Teow Th'ng, chicken porridge, soups, and tofu dishes.
2. Lemon grass is to use as spice for curry.
3. Leek can be mainly use for stir frying, or to cook with other harden tofu.

I hope that these really assist him to prevent the similar mistakes. Just wondering what will be the next silly mistakes... :(
