Property Of Your Choice

Browsing through the property listing web portal just now. I feel shocked by looking at the price for those condominiums for sale. More than 60% of the condos are cost for million ringgits. Wow, I'm so out dated in this type of information.

If you have millions, will you choose to own a condo rather than a bungalow or mansion? For me, I will definitely choose to have a landed property, with my own big garden. I would love to see colorful flowers blooming in my own garden. I would like to keep a big dog also. I know it will feel excited running around the compound. Having few kiddos playing in the garden will be absolutely fun. A big house with lots of happending = a happy family. That's what I'm looking for. Hmm...never forget to hire a gardener to keep the garden in order, and also a few maids to keep the house clean and tidy. :P Eh?? Am I dreaming? Wake up! Wake up!

How about you? What will be your perfect choice?

Okay, I just hopped back from blogthings.com just now. Took a House Test, see my test result below.

What the House Test Says About You

You consider yourself important, but no more important than anyone else. You love attention, but you don't feel like you deserve more of it than anyone else.

You aren't against being community oriented, but it's not really your thing. You tend to prefer to focus on your family and not the neighborhood around you.

You are a playful, charming, and seductive person. People feel instantly close to you.

You take good care of your physical appearance. You dress well, stay in shape, and do your best to look great.

You are moved by romance and love. You are optimistic about people, and you love hearing about happy endings.

I would say the test is quite accurate. Hmm... :P

Where's Everybody Go?

Now is Mega Sale season. Discounts and promotions are everywhere in the shopping malls. But look at these 2 photos. The parking lots are empty.

Photos were taken at Queensbay Mall, Penang last Friday evening at about 7.30pm. Surprisingly, hubby and I saw this kind of situation. We could even park our car anywhere we wanted to, as near as possible to the entrance point.

Is the current condition so bad? Prices increase for every single item. Due to inflation, the value of our salary are basically been reduced. What will happend if the condition continue to get worse? People will prefer to stay at home rather than going out to spend money, the shops will be out of business and the shopping mall will be reduced to nothing.... :(

My Turn

My boss handed me a white envelope this afternoon. Despite of my unreasonable emergency leave this morning, she congratulates me on the job promotion and pay increment. Wow, kind of surprise to me although I've been waiting for my turn all these while. :)

The promotion is effective since June 23rd. It's kind of late to the notification. Anyhow, it's never too late. I'll get the new salary this month. Lilian Too's Fortune & Feng Shui 2008 for my Chinese horoscope stated that in the 5th month of lunar calendar, the promotion luck is on my side. Promotion may come is various form, and the one I got now is the straight forward promotion with pay increase. Superstitious or not, it's kind of accurate, as 23rd of June fell on 5th Lunar month.

I'm not the type of person with wild or high ambition in career. I would rather choose to assist my hubby to achieve accomplishments in his career. So, I'm not greedy. I'm really satisfied with this year's promotion and pay increment.

Due to the inflation recently, the pay increment does really come in at the right time. It's a kind of motivation to me, besides the recognition from my boss.

Emergency Leave

Early in the morning my boss gave me a morning call, asking whether I'm on leave. Oh, my goodness! She woke me up! I was over-slept. So, I just told the truth, and applied half day leave from her. Luckily she didn't say anything. :o) *Blush*.

Normally I used to wake up automatically just before 6 am. My brain is being formatted to do so rather that depends on alarm clock. But why today I over-slept huh? I guess it's because I'm currently under relax mode due to not many jobs at work.

Shall I swift to more energetic mode? Sigh.....

Pandan Babiessss

Hey, let me introduce you my pandan plant. Does it look lush and green? Can you imagine it was nearly wilted last month? Previously I was sad cuz it looked yellowish, and dry no matter how much water I fed it. But now, see how it grows so well. Aha, I got a secret recipe to make an organic fertilizer especially for it. Don't misunderstand ya, no shit nor urine, ok? It's just the "fish water" with all the fish blood. Although it smells fishy, but it really plays an important role to save my lovely pandan plant. And, it's environmental friendly too.

Just now, hubby and I were standing in front of the plant. Then we started counting how many pandan babies were grown lately. 1 little, 2 little, 3 little pandan, 4 little, 5 little, ......., and 10! 10 pandan babies, woohoo! The pandan mama becomes too fertilized until conceiving 10 little pandan babies surrounding her. Er, how good if I'm as fertile as my pandan plant hor? :P

New Fashion

Before & After

Hmm...If you are wondering whether Blogger launch any new templates, then you're wrong. Hubby designed and sewed new dress for this blog as well as our food blog.

Basically, I posted a request to my hubby, asked him to modify the blog template for me cuz it looks too general, and the header graphic was stolen from internet also. I know, it's not right. I emphasized that I want my blog to look "lady-like". So, hubby customized the template a little bit here and there to make it looks unique. A good learning curve for him to go through as a beginner. :)

Noticed the differences?

~First, he changed the color tones for header, content and background. Background color tone is darker compared to previous pink. This will make the blog content more focus, and indirectly ease eyes tiredness if your stare at the blog for too long.

~Secondly, he rounded up the template corner. His design concept: No sharp angles. He believes in Feng Shui factor.

~Thirdly, he designed a logo. Noticed the flower there? Yea, it's my logo. :)

~Fourthly, he changed the fonts color.

~Last but not the least, a line is added to separate the header and content. This will tidy up the outlook.

Thanks to my dear. I'm quite satisfied with the result. What do you think?

An E-mail

I feel a little bit down this morning. A lot of things appear in my mind, including the ups and downs. Suddenly I'm thinking of want to check out my personal mailbox see if there's any email from New Kid. Nobody knows about my hotmail account, except New Kid. I created this email when New Kid and I started our conversation. I can't remember when was my previous log in to my hotmail account. It could be in May?

Surprisingly, there's an unread e-mail from her. An e-mail received in 14th June, and yet is remained unread till today, 22nd July. Sorry New Kid, I have overlooked it. Not because that I don't want to reply your e-mail.

Thanks for your encouragement. I appreciate your care. Your words truely warm my soul. I'm happy that we are here to support each other. I believe you feel the same too, right?

I Wish.......

Hmm...I wish I'm at home now. Longed for my bed, longed for my pillow and bolster. I'm so sleepy right now. I've been doing nothing the whole morning except submitting my weekly report, chatting with my colleague who sits beside me, chatting with hubby through MSN, visiting other's blogs... No need to guess, yea, I'm damn free at work.

Damn cold in the office now. The room temperature in the office tends to follow the weather. When it's hot outside, the office will be warm; and when it's raining outside, the office will be like a freezer. The factory is quiet today. Just wonder why? Product low demand? Business down turn?

I'm not even bothered about all these. Meow Meow, I just want to take a nap now...

What Can You Do In 30 Minutes?

Lots of thing can be done in 30 minutes, right? We can take a nap, we can write a blog, we can get a nice hair cut, or we can enjoy a delicious meal...quite a number of things actually. But what about renewing passport in 30 minutes time? Doable?

Well, in order to save myself 1/2 day annual leave to renew my passport at Penang's Immigration office during weekdays, I chose to do it in Sungai Petani. Sunday is a working day for all government departments in Kedah, and since my hubby and I will go back to SP to visit my parents in law as per our weekly schedule, I grab this opportunity to renew my passport at Wisma Keladi, SP.

It took us about 5 minutes to reach the immigration office at 7.55 am this morning. And I took my 2x of passport size photos just before the immigration office start operations, and bought the passport renewal form for RM1 once after the office open at 8am sharp. While I was filing up the form, hubby helped me to make a photocopy of my IC. After I got my number, I spend for around 10 minutes waiting for my turn, and another 5 minutes for the whole procedure. The last process was waiting for the verification process and to pay the charges RM300. So, before 8.30am, I was done with all the renewal procedures, in just 30 minutes time! Wow, it's unbelievable. And I was told to collect my new passport after 10am. Well, I felt very impressed with the efficiency of the government department now a days. I have some other story to tell about our other experiences in other government offices. Later la...

So, yes, I did it! I managed to get my passport renewed in just 30 minutes! :)

Luck & Choice

"Success" can have different meanings. It can be just a simple accomplishment of our desires or a big achievement in one's career.

Whatever the definitions, do you agree that success can only be achieved in 2 ways? That is Luck and Choice.

Success through "Luck" means that someone succeed without any planning or efforts towards it. Somebody may get a job offer without any interview, but the salary offer is impressive and the working hour is flexible. :P Yes, there is an actual case. Believe me.

Succcess achieved through "Choice" means that the individual has a clear vision and goal and truly put an effort and discipline to achieve it. For example, one may made up his mind to set up own business. He/she sets up goals, time line, and pays effort working step by step to overcome all the unexpected obstacles.

Dear, you have the "Luck" & you've made the "Choice". Success or not, it'll depend on your determination, and "never die" spirit. I'm here to support you.....

Youth Park

Last Sunday, my dear and I woke up early in the morning. We wanted to go out, but we didn't really have a destination, so we just drove around for sight-seeing. Although petrol price increase, we still like to travel around in our little car. :) No choice.

After having dim sum at Taman Pekaka, we drove all the way to Penang Hill cable car station. We thought of going for a picnic on top of the hill. Unfortunately the cable car is temporary out of service. Sigh...again? No luck, so we hopped back into our car and continue our journey.

Finally we stopped by at the Youth Park. Time is still early, so we had our morning walk there, and hubby started his photo capturing session.

We had our 15 minutes walk on this reflexology path. Although hubby felt reluctant to give it a try, however, I insisted and pull him to join me. Ouch! Auh! Both of us kept on screaming. Only a short while both of us already sweating badly. Hah, never thought we could encounter such degree of pain. Haiyah, die liao lah, all parts of body also not feeling well. We guess...

Take a close-up look. See the thousand millions of stones? They play an important role in reflexology. It is recommended not to walk for more than 20 minutes within 4 hours.

After that, we continued our morning walk. Felt so refreshing looking at the greenery. Noticed that quite a numbers of exercise equipments are set-up for public use, and it's free of charge.

This is a convenient corner for those who wanna play chess, have a short break, or just chit-chat.

A small shelter for a couple.

I really love this photo. Look at those egg-alike colorful balls. Hmm...just wondering what's the purpose of it. Decoration? Anyway, it's really beautified the garden.

We bumped into my colleague with his wife and their 2 little boys. The kids brought along their drawing papers and color pencils, drawing session there? Good idea.

After so many years not visiting to Youth Park, I noticed that efforts has been made by the government to improve the facilities for citizens. It's a good outing location.

Seven Eleven

This post is specially dedicated to my cousin, Cammy! She's now far away in Melbourne, Australia. She calls me aunt, but in fact, I'm just one year older than her. :( Can you imagine I became aunt when I was one year old?

Today is seven-eleven, happy birthday, my dear! I thought of you recently, and I promise that I must write this post as a birthday present for you...... So, how's your celebration this year?

Do you remember our childhood? We were fun playmates. We spent lots of our time together. ..playing masak-masak, weekend swimming class, co-curriculum activities,......Our "fierce" trainer, Mr Hoe Peng, used to scold us in front of people at the swimming pool. He used to command us to hold each other's leg under our armpits during our weekly practice. So embarrassing hor? :(

Remember the time we took bath together? We were already 14/15 years old, but still naked in front of each other, haha.....

That's our precious childhood. Lots of fun!

Characteristics Of Dugong

See the Dugong picture? It's cute, isn't it? It's drawn by my artistic colleague in the class this afternoon. :)

In today's training course on Dynamic Leadership Program, we learned about dugong's characteristics. Dugong or what we call as Sea Cow is an extint mammal. It was a tame animal and huge in size. We were asked to link Dugong's characters with Human's characters. Ok, let's see ya...

I'm quite disappointed that our trainer did not feed us with much input, so I have to think and process the lesson learned from the above table. This is how I interpret it in my own ways...

In order to travel to our new destination, we have to adapt to changes, rather than staying in our comfort zone. We have to be patient, and paying effort consistently. We shall be approachable, so that we are open to other's opinions and thoughts. Digest those positive points and factors which will assist us so that we can sail smoothly along our life journey to be an outstanding individual.

Is this acceptable?

*P/S: hubby's intepretation is that if we have all those characteristics like the dugong, it will lead us to extinction. :P

Success Begins With Me

It's been one month plus since I attended the course "Success Begins With Me". One of my goals is to exercise regularly, at least 3 times per week. However, I've almost forgotten about it until today, when I realised that the 2nd part of the training will be coming in another 2 days time. So, I urged myself to take my first move, yes, now! Come on!

So, here where I am. Just now I took a 23 minutes ride on my Elliptical Trainer. Looking at the exerciser's monitor, I've just consumed 556 calories, sigh... Anyway, I guess it'll be good start for me to build up the stamina step by step. Hopefully I will shed off the extra body fat ;D .

I know I have been passive for so long. I'll need extremely solid determination to work out consistently. Wish me luck, friends.

Lazy Days

Hmm...Sunday night again...Tomorrow will be another Monday blue, sigh...

Anyway, I took a good rest for these 2 days. Not feeling wanna step out from my comfort home, so I spend these 2 days by just sitting at home, doing household chores, trying out new dessert recipe, watching ASTRO, and taking long nap in the afternoon. :) Like this, sure put on weight, don't care la, as long as I'm happy, so what?? Actually, I planned to take a stroll at the seaside near my house this afternoon, but failed to do so, cuz my dear and I were both over-slept. Hehe...See if next Sunday we are able to fulfill the plan. :P

Till here, hope you all enjoy your weekend too.

Be a shopping queen again...

:) Hehe, guess what? I went for shopping whole night long. I complaint to my dear that I have nothing to wear, and I pester him to bring me shopping last night. I know I'm very naughty. :P

Shopping on weekdays is more relax, cuz most of the shopping malls are not crowded, and fitting rooms are mostly empty. No need to struggle for fitting room or clothes. So, I grabbed as much as clothes I can to try one by one, looking at myself in the mirror before I decided to buy any of them. I spend for about 3 hours trying about 30 pieces of clothes, haha, must be crazy over the fashion. Pity my dear, he just sitting on the couch, playing his iPhone, and look after my handbag while I was busy trying all those my selected items. Anyway, he didn't complaint. See, how nice he is... :D

Compared to my last shopping, I would say last night's shopping was another experience, which is more enjoyable and relax. Thanks to my dear for paying the bills for me. Muak!

Love you, my dear!

Last midnight it started raining till now. This morning I came to work before 7am in order to avoid long queue on the road. My dear purposely woke up from his sweet dream, just to open up the gate for me. I just need to hop into my car without wet up myself in the heavy rain. :D I feel so warm in my heart.

Dear, although you seldom express the 3 magic words to me, however, all those small tiny things that you do for me proves everything. It shows how much you care for me. Needless to say, the care is sincerely deep from your heart. I sense your love, the warm and fuzzy feeling.

Love you, my dear!
